Madeleine Moreland
design, to me, is not just how a space looks,
but how it is experienced.
I am an interior-focused designer with a foundation in real estate, drawn to how spaces shape experience, behavior, and emotion. My creative direction is informed by both academic exploration and hands-on operational experience, allowing me to approach design with equal parts vision and structure.
Currently working within the real estate industry, I have developed a strong appreciation for how environments influence daily life, from large-scale planning decisions to the smallest details that define atmosphere. This perspective grounds my design work in functionality while leaving room for experimentation, conceptual thinking, and aesthetics.
My portfolio is driven by academic and self-initiated projects that explore innovative interior concepts, furniture, and objects, merging form and function through material, proportion, and visual rhythm. Projects like TWIG, a conceptual interior style guide, reflect my interest in treating space, branding, and objects as parts of a single cohesive system.
I am motivated by the idea of design as curation: shaping environments that feel intentional, emotionally resonant, and well considered. Whether working through physical materials or visual systems, I am interested in how thoughtful design can inspire connection and meaning.
WHAT I DO?
Focus: Furniture & interior curation · objects (ceramics/sculpture) · visual systems & campaigns
Strengths: Project coordination · vendor communication · visual storytelling · detail management
Tools: Adobe Creative Cloud + presentation/documentation workflows
Languages: Spanish (immersion background)
